The main objective of present work is to investigate the anti ulcer activity of the leaves of Mimosa pudica. The effect of aqueous and methanolic extracts of Mimosa pudicawas investigated in rats by usingtwo models, i. e. pylorus ligation and indomethacin induced ulcer models. The PH, total acidity and ulcer index were determined. The results indicated that the alcoholic extract significantly (P < 0. 001) decreases the PH, total acidity and ulcer index with respect to control at dose 400mg/kg p. o.
