Waiver Policy
All JK Welfare & Pharmascope Foundation journals are fully open access and require Article Processing Charges to be paid following acceptance. To help support researchers who are unable to meet some or all of the costs associated with publishing open access JK Welfare & Pharmascope Foundation operates a transparent waiver policy.
Qualifying for a waiver
To help support researchers in the low-income economies listed below, our journals provide an automatic 80% waiver of any Article Processing Charges for manuscripts where the corresponding author's listed affiliation is in one of these countries.
Afghanistan, Angola, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo, Cote D’Ivoire, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Djibouti, East Timor, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Kenya, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Palestinian Authority, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sao Tome, and Principe.
Additionally, our journals will provide a 25% reduction in any APCs when the author(s) of an article does not have the funding required to cover these charges and can provide one of the following to demonstrate this:
A signed letter from the author along with a suitable institutional representative, such as the institutional Head of Department, with a verifiable institutional email address confirming payment, will be made from the author’s funds (all authors must provide a letter to this effect). This applies to only a single author.
