Abstract

Dental CAD/CAM technology is gaining popularity because of its benefits in terms of manufacturing time, material savings, standardization of the fabrication process, and predictability of the restorations. When the CAD/CAM manufacturing process is employed, the number of steps required for the fabrication of restoration is less compared to traditional methods. One more benefit of CAD/CAM dentistry includes the use of materials and data acquisition instruments, that shows a non-destructive method of saving impressions, restorations and information that are saved on a computer and constitute an extraordinary communication tool for evaluation.
